Configure alerting

This section describes how to manage alert recipients.

Define the mail server and email address to send out the email alerts

To define the global setting for email server and email return address use the command
SMcli -m <IP or host name of mail server -F <email address>.
See Example C-5.
To verify the setting use SMcli -d -s to see current settings.
Example: C-5 SMcli - define email server and return email address

SMcli completed successfully.

To delete these settings use empty strings as shown in Example C-6.
