3. After modifying the configuration on the DS3300 the initiators need to know the CHAP
secret of the iSCSI target to be able to identify the subsystem. In SANsurfer, click
Configure Authentication as in Figure 16-55 on page 375.
4. Enter the SANsurfer password and click OK.
5. Click the green plus sign this time beside the Target Table (BIDI or Peer CHAP Entries)
table to add a new line in the table. Enter the IQN of the iSCSI target that will be
configured with target authentication. Enter the CHAP secret (as defined on the DS3300 in
Example 16-5) in the Target Secret column. Default Secret could be checked when only
one iSCSI target is connected to this initiator that uses target authentication. This entry will
be used for every target that is listed in the upper left Targets (Assign CHAP Name/Secret
to targets) table which has the Bidi checkbox checked. See Figure 16-62.

6. Check the Bidi checkbox for each target that requires target authentication Figure 16-63.
Click OK to leave the authentication settings dialog.
