From now on perform a standard installation of Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Apply
Service pack 1 as a minimum requirement of hot fix KB916048. This hotfix is a requirement
for RDAC failover driver. Install next the hotfix KB916048. Hot fix KB916048 can be
downloaded from Microsoft at

19.4.3 Install multipath driver

After the Windows setup is complete we will install the multipath driver on the Blade and
enable the second HBA to access the logical drive to provide redundancy.
Install IBM DS3000 Storage Manager on the Blade, as shown in 5.1, "Install DS3000 Storage
Manager on Microsoft Windows" on page 94. If you do not want to use the newly installed
Blade as a DS3000 management station, you can just install the host part of Storage
Manager, which includes the multipath driver. You need to reboot after installing the driver.
After the reboot, open DS3000 Storage Manager, and add the second WWN of the HBA to
the host that you have created for this Blade. Now the Blade can access the logical drive over
both paths. On the Blade, open Device Manager and expand the disk drives. You should now
see the logical drive on the DS3400 two times (redundant connection / FAStT SCSI Device)
and the multipath driver (FAStT Multi Path Disk Device), similar to Figure 19-29.
