To adjust Motor Speed:
1. Place the label to be used in your application at the desired range from
a scanner in a fixed position.
2. From your terminal enter<t>.
3. From your terminal, enter a series of upper case Ns to decrease scan
speed or upper case Ms to increase scan speed.
This will change both Motor and Scan Rate values on the bottom line of the
Calibration Setup menu.

starting with 5 on page 4-3.

Gain

Adjusts the gain potentiometer for an optimum signal when testing a spe-
cific label and range.
Gain is set during Autocalibration but can be user-adjusted if circumstances
warrant.
To manually optimize Gain,
1. Position label in read range and enter the Calibration Setup menu by
typing <t>.
2. Observe the read rate on the right side of the bottom line of your
screen.
3. Press G to increment or F to decrement Gain while observing the read
rate and relative values displayed under Gain on the bottom line of the
Calibration menu.
Displayed values for Gain range from 0 to 255.
Note: If electronic AGC is enabled (default), Gain may have little or no
effect on read rate.
1. Scan Rate setting requires some time to stabilize after Motor adjustments are made.
