Note: Used only in Point-to-Point protocol, and not with RTS/CTS.
Enabled
Whenever RS-422 is disabled, RS-232 is enabled in the background.
However, when Multidrop is enabled, the functioning protocol is RS-485
regardless of the displayed status of RS-422 in the menus. Before enabling
RS-422, first double-check that Multidrop is not enabled. (See

Aux Port Parameters
Allows you to set mode and communications parameters between the scan-
ner and an auxiliary monitor. An auxiliary monitor can be used to configure
the menus, send data to the host, and display data transmissions originat-
ing from the host or scanner.
Note: Aux Port operates in RS-232 only. See
page A-16
for a full description of auxiliary port options.
Aux Mode
Default:
Disabled
Options: Disabled, Transparent, Half Duplex, Full Duplex, Daisy Chain.
Aux Mode (auxiliary mode) allows you to select a communications mode for
auxiliary operations (see
Appendix I, "Auxiliary Monitor," on page A-16
Other Aux Port Parameters
The other Aux Port parameters—Baud Rate, Parity, Stop Bits, and Data Bits—are
identical to the host port parameters and are changed in the same manner.
Note: The Aux Port baud rate should never exceed Host Port baud rate or auxil-
iary port data could be lost.
