NOTE: The card modem setting is not displayed, but is automatically set to the remaining
COM level when the serial port is set.
PCMCIA Slot (T4500/C) - PC Card Slot 1 or 2 (T4600/C)
This option allows you to use a PCMCIA or other optional card. If you select "Others,"
you can set the next window, COM Port and Power. The T4500 Series only has one
PCMCIA card slot displayed on the SETUP screen as "PCMCIA Slot." The two PCMCIA
slots on the T4600 Series appear as "PC Card Slot 1" and "PC Card Slot 2." The
function descriptions below refer to both the T4500 and T4600 Series.
External FDD/PRT
NOTE: The T4600 Series computer will only support an external FDD when connected to a
Desk Station IV or IV Plus. When connected to a Desk Station, the displayed options are
"External FDD" as well as "Printer Port Type." When not connected to a Desk
Station, the only available option appears as "Parallel Port."
Use this option to assign the function of the External PRT/FDD port.

This option allows you to set the COM port of the card

COM Port
Two COM levels for the card modem can be selected: COM1 (IRQ4/
3F8H) or COM2 (IRQ3/2F8H). If you set this level to the same as
that of the serial port, the serial port setting automatically changes to
Not Used.
Power
This option allows you to turn the expansion cards on or off. Howev-
er, this option does not appear if you do not install the card or set the
PCMCIA Slot (or PC Card Slot 1 or 2) option to PCMCIA.
Configures the port for output to a printer or other parallel
device. This is the default setting on the T4500/C and does
not appear on the T4600/C.
