.6 Getting Started
Once you've installed your SIM card and battery, you can turn on your phone and
start using your T-Mobile G.
Turning your T-Mobile G1 on and off
To turn on the power
Press the END CALL/POWER button.

Press and hold the END CALL/POWER button for a few seconds.
2. When the Phone options menu appears, tap Power off.
3. Tap OK when prompted to turn off the phone completely.
Enter your PIN
If your SIM card is preset with a PIN (personal identification number), you will be
prompted to enter the PIN to proceed. Enter the SIM PIN, then tap OK.
To know how to enable or disable the SIM PIN, see "Protecting Your T-Mobile
G" in Chapter 0.

After you turn on the T-Mobile for the first time, you may be prompted
to set up a Google account. For more information on how to set up your
phone for the first time, see "Setting up your T-Mobile G for the first time"
in this chapter.
If you entered the wrong PIN three times, the SIM card will be blocked.
If this happens, you can unblock it with the PUK (PIN Unblocking Key)
obtained from T-Mobile.
