Managing Your T-Mobile G

0.5 Software Updates

Google may from time to time bring out new or updated versions of the software
your phone uses. When they do that, Google will send over-the-air updates to your
phone so that it automatically downloads the new software. You won't need to
do anything to get the new software, your phone will automatically connect to the
Internet to download the updates.
In the UK you won't be charged for connecting to the Internet to download these
over-the-air updates, but when you're not in the UK you will be charged our usual
mobile Internet travel rates for downloads. The cost of these downloads will be
added to your next bill and please remember that these over-the-air updates can
be up to 64 MB in size. Please see www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/going-abroad/
for full details of the roaming charges in the country you're travelling to.
To avoid being automatically charged for downloading any over-the-air updates
when you're not in the UK, you should deactivate data roaming on your phone
before travelling abroad. This will mean you won't be able to access the Internet
or use any other data services (e.g. TV) on your phone while you're away. See
page 70 for details on how to enable or disable data roaming.
