.2 Using the Phone as a USB Drive

For easy transfer of music and pictures from your computer to your phone's
memory card, you can set the memory card as a USB flash drive.
To use the phone's memory card as a USB drive
1. Press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings.
2. Scroll down the screen, then tap SD card and phone storage.
3. Select the Use for USB storage check box, then press BACK twice to return to
the Home screen.
4. Connect the phone to your computer using the USB sync cable. Your computer
recognises the memory card as a removable disk.
You can now begin exchanging files between your computer and your phone's
memory card.
Note
To remove the memory card while the phone is on
Do the following if you need to remove the memory card while the phone is on.
1. Press HOME > MENU, then tap Settings.
2. Scroll down the screen, then tap SD card and phone storage.
3. Tap the Unmount/eject SD card option
4. Remove the memory card following the instructions earlier in this chapter.

The phone does not recognise the memory card when used as a USB
flash drive. Remember to clear the Use for USB storage option when you
are done exchanging files with your computer.
