Basics Checking notifications Notification icons on the status bar report the arrival of new messages, calendar events, alarms set and ongoing settings such as when call forwarding is on or the current call status. You can open the Notifications panel to open the message, reminder, or event notification and see the mobile operator name.

Phone calls Making calls There are several convenient methods to make a call from your phone. Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is provided by your mobile operator. When prompted, enter the preset PIN, then tap Enter. If you enter the wrong PIN three times, the SIM card is blocked.
