To send an instant message to a contact
1. Make sure that you are signed in to Google Talk. Refer to "Google Talk" in
Chapter 6 for details.
2. In the contacts list, tap the contact you want to send the instant message.
You can check whether the contact is available (
indicators.
3. On the contact details screen, tap an instant messaging ID below the Send
instant message section.
4. Your chat session begins. If your contact is not available, a message will
appear on the chat screen to inform you that the contact is offline.
Note To send an instant message to a contact, you must have specified an
instant message screen name for them in their contact details. For more
information about instant messaging, see Chapter 6.
To map a contact's address
1. In the contacts list, tap the contact you want to map.
2. On the contact details screen, scroll down
to the Map address section, then tap the
postal or physical address you want to map.
3. The Maps application opens and locates
the address. Press
options.
Note
To map a contact's address, you must have specified a postal or physical
address for them in their contact details. For more information on how to
use Maps, see Chapter 8.
