Edit or delete an external email account

You can always edit or delete an external email account on your phone.
1. Press HOME, tap the Applications tab, then select Email. The accounts screen
appears.
2. Do any of the following:
Tap and hold the account you want to remove, then tap Remove account.

When prompted, tap OK.
Tap and hold the account you want to edit, then tap Account settings.


Adjust external email account settings
You can adjust the settings for your external email accounts.
1. Press HOME, tap the Applications tab, then select Email.
2. Tap and hold an email account on the screen, then tap Account settings. The
account information displays for editing.
3. Adjust the following settings according to your preference.
Check for new email
every
Send email from this
account by default.
Notify me when
email arrives.
Incoming server
settings
Tap the drop-down menu to set how frequently you want to
check your external email account for new messages. Select
Don't check automatically if you want to check your email
manually by tapping the Refresh menu button.
Select this option if you want to use this account every time
you send an email from your phone.
Select this option if you want a new message icon (
display in the Status bar every time a new email message
arrives in your external email Inbox.
Tap to edit the account's incoming server settings such as
user name and password, POP3 server, port, and more.
