TO SET THE MODBUS ADDRESS
1. Determine each slave address.
2. Set the address on each slave device.
The slave address is set using the Modbus Address switches on the front of
the user interface PCB.

Device Addressing Example
Each inverter must be set to a unique address specified by the site monitoring
contractor. The address is set using a binary code on the address DIP switch.
To set an inverter to an address of 25:
1. Find the desired address in the left hand column of the table below labeled
"Unit Address".
2. Identify which switches, by switch number, must be set to the ON position.
For example, an address of 25 requires switch numbers 1, 4, and 5 to ON.
3. Once the switches are set in the ON position, the switch should look like the
figure below.

0 is not an allowed address.
Some Modbus master devices do not allow addresses above the decimal
value of 126. AE recommends keeping the number of slave devices
between 2 and 100.
