Chapter 16

Exiting Without Saving Results of the Editing Session

Often the results of a gamma curve editing session are instructional, yet undesir-
able. When this is the case, you will want to discard these resulting curves, as opposed
to saving them. This is easily accomplished by clicking on the C
Gamma Curve Editor dialog, seen in Figure 16.28. No changes will then be recorded.
The next time that the Gamma Curve Editor dialog is invoked, the gamma curves will
be identical to the curves opened before the last session.

Exiting and Saving Results of the Editing Session

You can exit the Gamma Curve Editor dialog while also sending the various
gamma curves to the scanner before the next scan. This is accomplished by clicking on
the D
button, shown in Figure 16.29. No data is sent to the scanner from the
ONE
Gamma Curve Editor dialog after D
found in the Scan dialog box is checked (see Chapter Fifteen). If the C
remains checked, the curves generated within the Gamma Curve Editor will be sent to
the scanner. If the check box is clicked, the check mark will disappear and the curves
generated within the Gamma Curve Editor will not be sent to the scanner.
