Locking Proportions and File Size

As a convenience, you can lock a scan's proportions and file size. Once you have
set the dimensions and resolution, you may want to lock these values so that they cannot
be changed inadvertently when cropping the image graphically.

There is a strict relationship between the items within the sizing dialog and the
crop rectangle displayed in the preview dialog. Changing items in this dialog affects the
crop and vice versa. You can lock the A

crop rectangle size. You can also lock the F
scan, as well as the aspect ratio, constant. This makes it easy to set final dimensions and
resolution, while freeing you up to adjust the crop rectangle's position and size without
changing the pixel count on the output.
