Copying Debug Information

To save and copy debug information to the specified memory card, use the following command:
save debug tracefiles
Modular Switches Only—After the switch writes a core dump file or other debug information to the
external memory card, and before you can view the contents on the card, you must ensure it is safe to
remove the card from the external compact flash slot on the MSM. Use the
command to prepare the card for removal. After you issue the
manually remove the card from the external compact flash slot on the MSM am read the data on the
card.
To access and read the data on the card, use a PC with appropriate hardware such as a compact flash
reader/writer and follow the manufacturer's instructions to access the compact flash card and read the
data.
Managing Files on the External Memory Card—Modular Switches
Only
Using a series of commands, you can manage the files stored on your external memory card. For
example, you can rename or copy a configuration file, display a comprehensive list of the configuration
and policy files, or delete a policy file.
