TIMTER™ Multi-mode Dual
Telemetry Transmitter
2.2 Airborne IntelliCool™ Heat Sink, 2 x 3 or 4 x 3
Part Number: (QSX-AC-32-HS-28V-SP) or (QSX-AC-34-HS-28V-SP)
The heat sink assembly includes an integral +12 VDC fan, power supply, and temperature-controlled power on at
+37°C. Fan speed is regulated to compensate for changes in air pressure/density under high altitude conditions. Two
MDM-15 connectors and a provided pigtail cable, shown in Figure 5, allow the heat sink to draw power directly
from a TIMTER™ transmitter eliminating the need for a separate external power supply.
Figure 5: Airborne IntelliCool™ Heat Sink, Pigtail Cable, and SMA Extender
The pigtail cable connects to any TIMTER™, regardless of MDM-15 gender, by plugging the pigtail into either the
male or female connector, as shown in Figure 6 and Figure 7.
Two Airborne IntelliCool™ Heat Sinks are shown in Figure 8 mounted on a TIMTER™ 24xx package. Two MDM-
15 connectors enable use with either gender on the transmitter. The SMA extender(s) ensures convenient RF
connector access.
A 4 x 3 Airborne IntelliCool™ Heat Sink (QSX-AC-34-HS-28V-SP) is also available for use with Dual
Transmitters, as shown in Figure 9.
