Replacing the Battery on the I/O Board
To replace the battery on the I/O board, do the following:
1. Insert the real-time clock module on the I/O board between PCI slots 5 and 6, as shown
in Figure 4-39 on the previous page. Note the polarity dot which is silk-screened on the
component side of the circuit board; insert the real-time clock module with the correct
polarity to ensure proper functionality.
CAUTION There is a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace
only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer.
2. Replace any I/O cards that you removed to access the real-time clock module. To do this,
follow the replacement procedures in "I/O Cards" on page 121.
3. Replace the PCI retainer clip.
4. Replace the top panel and the right side panel of the workstation.
