2.1 General Description

The Regesta Smart PRO router family consists of industrial-grade routers designed to deliver secure and reliable IP
broadband connectivity for telecontrol and telemetry networks in smart grid deployments.
Specifically engineered to function in challenging and harsh environments, the Regesta Smart PRO routers feature
ruggedized mechanics and special components that allow them to withstand extreme temperatures. As a result,
these routers are highly suitable for deployment in industrial environments, including telecontrol and distribution in-
stallations for electricity, gas, water, and other utilities.
The router ensures optimal performance and maximum security for communications across multiple IP services. Ad-
ditionally, it provides enhanced communication reliability by simultaneously utilizing 2G/3G/LTE interfaces and WAN
Ethernet links. This reliability is further reinforced by comprehensive support for management, supervision, and
backup functionalities.
