Using the control panel to print envelopes

Envelope printing can be selected by using the Configuration feature from within your
software application program or from the printer control panel.
If you cannot select envelope printing from the printer driver and software application,
follow the procedure below to set the printer to print on envelopes only.

Press Go to take the printer off-line. At this time, make sure the On Line indicator is
off. The READY message will change to PAUSED.

Press Menu to display the first menu (PCL MENU) in the top line.

Press Item until you see ORIENTATION in the top line.

To select landscape orientation, press Value until you see ORIENTATION=
LANDSCAPE in the bottom line and press Enter.

Press Menu until you see FEEDER MENU in the top line.

Press Item. The message FEED=XXXXXX will appear in the bottom line.

Press Value until you see MPT displayed. Press Enter to select it.

Because the tray does not have a paper size sensor, you must set the paper size. Press
Item until you see MPTSIZE in the bottom line.

Press Value until you see the envelope size that you want, for example COM10, and
press Enter.

Press Go to put the printer back on-line. Then start printing the envelopes from your
software application.

When you are finished using the tray, close it.
To avoid damage to the tray, close it when not in use.
