Gently set the transfer guide back to its original position e.

Remove the paper cassette. If the paper was fed from the optional 250 Sheet Paper
Feed Unit, remove the unit's paper cassette. If the paper is jammed as shown below,
do not try to pull the paper out by force. Remove it using the procedure described in
the "Paper cassette area" section (see page 144).

Clearing Paper Jams
• If you install the toner cartridge without closing the transfer guide, the
printer and the toner cartridge will be damaged.
• If the leading edge of the paper has reached the fixing assembly and the
trailing edge does not come out easily, do not try to force it. Follow the
procedure for clearing jams from the fixing assembly (see page 140).
