Correcting Poor Print Quality

When text is too light or dark ...

Follow this procedure to adjust the print density. Adjust the print density if printed text
on your page is too light or too dark.
Print density can be adjusted within a range of 0 (lightest) to 15 (darkest).
Press Go to take the printer off-line. The On Line indicator goes off.
Press Menu to display the first menu title (PCL MENU) in the top line.
Press Menu repeatedly until CONFIG MENU appears.
Press Item to display the first menu item (JAM RECOVERY) in the bottom line.
Press Item repeatedly until DENSITY appears.
Increase the density for a darker print. Press Value to increase the number. The highest
number you can set for the density is 15.
Decrease the density for a lighter print. Hold down Shift and press
Value to decrease the number. The lowest number you can set for the density is 0.
When the setting you require is displayed, press Enter.
Press Go to put the printer on-line. The On Line light comes on and the printer is ready
for use.
