R e v e r s a l M e a n i n g
Description
To indicate incoming calls or disconnect, some Central Offices provide signalling, via
Tip-Ring Reversal or Third Wire change of state. The SX-5 can be programmed to
recognize these signals.
Conditions
In all cases, Tip-Ring Reversal is equivalent to Third Wire change of state.
Reversal Meaning must be programmed for each trunk.
Both bunks are nonpolarized. in that on power-up, Tip may be more negative
than Ring or vice versa. The SX-5 will consider either state as a valid
quiescent state. Only a change in polarity will be considered as a signal.

3 if reversal means lncoming Call or Disconnect
Replace handset

the reversal meaning selected is enabled.
Set SW2 to CLOSED.
