Due to the shutter's design, mechanical latency occurs between the initial motion of the
SMI LoVo Drives and the initial reaction of the slats; this is caused by the tensioning the
shutter's straps. The SMI Master Module allows you to configure mechanical latency
compensation for upwards motions.
After the shutters and slats are positioned, the actual positions are determined, converted
to a shutter position and slat position in the form of percentages and returned in the
process data image. If multiple drives are masked at the same time (see
Coupler Mode

4.2.2 Full Mode

4.2.2.1 Logging

Received and sent SMI telegrams are stored in the I/O module's memory together with a
relative timestamp. The timestamp begins 0 ms after the SMI master module is started,
and its maximum value is 7 weeks. When this value is reached, the timestamp restarts at
0 ms.
