The 753-1631 SMI Master Module (SMI Master LoVo; 24 VDC) used to control
SMI LoVo Drives indoors and outdoors, e.g., for blinds, and is used specifically in building
automation.
The SMI Master Module can operate up to 16 SMI LoVo Drives via the SMI interface on a
750 Series WAGO fieldbus node. The SMI Master Module is designed for
SMI LoVo Drives that operate with safety extra-low voltage (SELV).
The SMI Master Module has a 24 VDC input per IEC 61131‑2, Type 1. When the param-
eters are set, the input can be assigned a specific function, e.g., triggering motion com-
mands via an external button (1-button operation) or moving to a forced position.
The SMI Master Module has a short-circuit-protected 24 VDC output per IEC 61131-2
with a rated current of 0.5 A. The output is used to control shutdown logic for energy
saver mode. The load to be switched must be connected to the 0 V potential of the field
supply.
An IEC 61131‑3 function block library and the "WAGO SMI Configurator" software are
available for commissioning, configuration and maintenance of the I/O module and at-
tached SMI LoVo Drives. The function block library can be used to implement shading
applications.
