Replacing the Pump Head

Solvent suitable for purging to flush out harmful substances
Solvent suitable for your application
1. To flush out harmful substances, purge the pump with an
appropriate solvent.
2. Turn off the pump flow and wait until the system pressure is down
to zero.
1. Select the pump head for which you want to perform the procedure.
2. Undock the pistons either from the keypad or from Chromeleon.
Wait until undocking is complete before proceeding with the next
step.
3. On the inlet assembly of the pump head, disconnect the tubing from
the solvent selector.
4. Unplug the cable of the pressure sensor from the P-Work connector.
5. Remove the capillary that connects the pump head to the purge
unit.
6. Remove the seal wash lines from the tubing connectors on the pump
head. Do not remove the tubing connectors.
7. Loosen the pump head screw with the hexagon wrench.
8. Hold the pump head with one hand, remove the pump head screw,
and then remove the pump head by pulling it toward you. The
pistons are usually removed from the pump together with the pump
head.
