Fasten the captive screws on the MCP.

Observe the RUN LEDs on the MCP to verify that the MCP is installed correctly.
After the router is powered on, the RUN LED on the MCP flashes green at 8 Hz until the
application software is loaded. When the RUN LED flashes green at 1 Hz, the MCP is operating
correctly.
NOTE:
When two MCP MPUs are installed on the router, the ACT LED on the active MPU is steady
green. For the MPU LED descriptions, see H3C SR6604[6608] Routers Hardware Information
and Specifications.

Installing an SSD drive

Only the RPE-X5E, FIP-260, FIP-380, and SAP-XP4GE32 modules support mSATA SSD drives.
The FIP-260, FIP-380, and SAP-XP4GE32 modules do not support SSD drives with SSC enabled.
No SSD drive or screws are provided with the router. As a best practice, purchase an SSD drive and
screws from H3C as needed.
To install an SSD drive:
1.
Locate the SSD drive slot on the service module.
