8. Install the new source module.
Align the slot in the source module with the blue line on the instrument baseplate. Make
sure the three captive mounting screws are straight (to avoid cross threading) and then
slowly insert the source into the cavity.
Tip If the source is inserted incorrectly, the screws will not start.

Tighten the screws until the source mount is flush with the instrument baseplate.
Snap the bale into its storage position.
9. Replace the desiccant.
10. Lower the sampling arm so it engages firmly with the magnet.
11. Set the instrument upright.
12. Attach the power cord and the USB cable to the instrument.
WARNING To ensure a good ground connection and avoid shock hazard, do not use an
outlet that is connected to a conduit ground. The ground must be a noncurrent-carrying
wire connected to earth ground at the main distribution box.
13. Plug the power cord into the same wall outlet or power strip.
14. Turn on the instrument power switch.
Wait 2 minutes for the instrument power indicator to stop flashing.
