Troubleshooting the Instrument
Power indicator blinks continuously

The instrument power indicator blinks for two minutes after power up while the instrument
runs internal diagnostic tests. If the power indicator continues to blink after two minutes,
follow these steps:
1. From the qPro Operator main window, click the
• If the Humidity status is "fail," check that the current value for Humidity is within
specifications. If it is out of the specified range,
• If the Board Temperature or Modulator Temperature status is "fail," make sure
nothing is sitting on top of the instrument and air can flow freely around it.
If the vents are clear, the ambient temperature may be too high. The ambient
temperature should be between 15 °C and 35 °C (60 °F and 95 °F). Allow 1 to 6
hours for the instrument to come to temperature equilibrium. If the problem persists,

If the instrument cannot collect data or other problems occur in the software, follow these
steps:
1. Make sure the system has completed the initialization period (about 2 minutes after you
power it up). During initialization, the blue power indicator on the front of the
instrument flashes.
2. Log off qPro software and turn off the instrument power switch. Wait a few seconds and
then turn the power switch back on and restart qPro software.
3. Shut down the computer and turn off the instrument power. Check the data cable. If the
cable is loose or disconnected, reconnect it. If the cable is damaged, replace it. Turn on
the instrument power. Then turn on the computer.
