Calibrating the Laser Frequency
Thermo Scientific
Laser calibration verifies the known frequency of the instrument laser. The laser frequency
may drift slightly over time, particularly in locations that have large temperature swings or
excessive vibration. After you power up the instrument, allow approximately 6 hours for the
instrument to reach thermal equilibrium before you calibrate the laser frequency. Repeat laser
calibration every three months.
