Electromechanical delay is Check deflation timing. If
less than 100 msec
ECG connected from
bedside monitor. Signal
delay is longer than 35 msec 5 lead ECG cable.
> 3 lead switches within
1 minute and no AP signal
available
Noisy ECG signal
> 3 trigger switches
between AP and Pacer
within 1 minute
ECG signal is not available Check ECG connections.
but IABP is triggering on
AP or pacer signal
Corrective Actions
Check patient
hemodynamics. Check for
AP disconnect.
Change HE tank
Open HE tank
Corrective Actions
deflation timing is too late
and patient hemodynamics
are compromised, select

manually adjust timing
