Configuring the Motorized Functions

The swing-out operation of the motorized swing-out condenser,
initial brightness of the dia-illumination LED, and reverse rotation
lock from address 1 to 6 are configured using the remote control
pad and buttons on the main body.
Setup via DS-L4 Microscope Camera Control
Unit or a PC
Motorized functions can also be configured via DS-L4
Microscope Camera Control Unit or Ni Setup Tool. See the
respective instruction manual for the details of settings with
DS-L4 and Ni Setup Tool.

Configuring the Motorized Swing-out Condenser

13.1
If the motorized swing-out condenser is attached, you can configure the system so that the condenser top lens is
automatically swung out when switching to the low-magnification objective.
[Factory setting]
Address 1:
Swung out (removed from the optical path)
Address 2 to 6: Brought into the optical path
[Procedure]
(1)
With the setting mode switch set to the left side
(operation mode), press the toggle pattern switch until
the toggle function is turned OFF.

Set the setting mode switch to the right side to switch to
the setting mode.
Condenser top lens configuration is indicated by the toggle
address LED.
Blinking: Swung out (removed from the optical path)
OFF:
Brought into the optical path

Press a nosepiece address button to configure top lens
swing-out for that particular address.
The function is switched between enabled and disabled
each time the button is pressed.
(4)
Set the setting mode switch to the left side to operation
mode.
Nosepiece address buttons 1 to 6 light for a few seconds to
indicate that setup is complete.
