Measure
Confirm that parts (nosepiece, condenser, etc.)
are correctly attached.
(→Chapter 3, "2 Assembly for Bright-field
Microscopy")
Correctly set the optical path switching lever,
nosepiece, filter cube switchover turret,
condenser turret, and slider, etc. (Move the
part until it clicks.)
Make sure the condenser is focused and
centered.
(→Chapter 2, "5 Focusing and Centering the
Condenser".)
Open the field diaphragm slightly wider than
the field of view.
(→Chapter 2 "8 Adjusting the Field Diaphragm")
Adopt an appropriate combination.
(→Chapter 2 "7 Selecting a Condenser")
Perform the operation such as swinging out or
sliding the condenser.
Clean them as appropriate.
(→Chapter 5 "1.1 Cleaning Lenses")
Turn up the cover glass and attach it to the
stage.
(→Chapter 1 "1.2 Bright-field Microscopy Procedure
- 8 Place a specimen on the stage, and move the
stage to bring the target into view")
Attach a cover glass of the specified thickness
(0.17 mm).
Some objective has a stopper to keep the
pushed in state. Turn the tip of the object to
release.
If the objective does not have a stopper, do
not pull because the tip cannot be turned. In
this case, contact your nearest Nikon
representative.
Screw the objective all the way in.
(→Chapter 3, "2 Assembly for Bright-field
Microscopy - 7 Attach the objective".)
Perform diopter adjustment.
(→Chapter 2 "4 Adjusting the Diopter")
Attach it correctly.
(→Chapter 3, "2 Assembly for Bright-field
Microscopy - 2 Attach the stage".)
Check and reset the setting.
(→Chapter 2, "2.4 Refocusing".)
