CAUTION
Risk of personal injury. Do not touch the deflection plates when the high-voltage
power is applied.
High-voltage deflection plates deflect droplets from the mainstream and direct droplets to specific
appropriate receptacles. These plates can be polarized with up to ± 4000 Vdc. Caution should be
exercised when the plate voltage is enabled.
When opening the sort protection door, the high voltage will be disabled automatically by the high
voltage safety interlock.
The deflection plates are designed to be easily removed and cleaned. To access the deflection plates,
you need to open the sort protection door and remove the side stream illumination source. For
