Tightening torque
6.9-10.8 N·m {70-110 kgf·cm, 61.1-95.5 in·lbf}

CYLINDER HEAD GASKET REPLACEMENT [Z6]

Warning
• Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always
keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
• Fuel line spills and leakage are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death
and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line
Safety Procedure". (See
1. Remove the following parts:
(1) Timing chain. (See
(2) EGR pipe and EGR valve bracket (See

(3) Front HO2S (See
(4) Accelerator cable and bracket
(5) Fuel hose and fuel injector wiring harness (See
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See
(6) Air hose, throttle body and intake manifold (See
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
2. Disconnect the following parts:
(1) Rear HO2S connector
(2) Main silencer (See
(3) WU-TWC (See
(4) Upper radiator hose
(5) Heater hose
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
