SEAR digital inputs that are not being used by the GCP programming and are not track
connection inputs can be used to monitor outputs from other sources that can be wired into the
GCP I/O connectors. It is not necessary to have a module in a slot, an empty slot can be used
to monitor digital inputs by wiring to the GCP I/O connectors for that slot.
To configure a digital input use the Template parameter to choose one of the predefined input
types as shown in Figure 3-137.
