Troubleshooting

The troubleshooting information provided in this chapter is intended for use by nontechnical
medical personnel during device operation. This chapter answers many of the common
problems or questions that may arise during operation.
If trouble persists after consulting this guide, contact the appropriate technical personnel or
ZOLL Technical Service Department.
Note:
Symptom
General
The ZOLL M2 does not power
on.
Audio is too low or absent.
Self-test failed

Buttons do not respond, e.g.,

Most chapters contain a list of error messages at the end of the chapter that are specific
to that function.
Recommended Action
• Check that the battery pack is properly installed.
• Verify that the device is plugged into AC power.
• Replace battery pack with a fully charged battery
• Use the System Setting menu to adjust the audio
• Contact the appropriate technical personnel or

A battery fault has been detected. Plug the ZOLL M2
unit into an AC power source or install a new battery.
The battery has reached a state that requires battery
calibration. Calibrate battery using the ZOLL
SurePower Charger Station.
The unit is unable to establish communication with
the battery. Check the battery contacts.
Turn the ZOLL M2 unit off and then turn it back on to
correct the fault. If the fault still exists, contact the
appropriate technical personnel or ZOLL Technical
Service Department.
• Connect an undamaged USB drive.
• Make sure the USB drive has enough space.
• Connect to the available WiFi.
