The rear baffle (A) is located immediately behind and above
the flail conditioner. The baffle (A) can be used to direct
crop into the forming shields for narrow and moderate width
windrows or to direct crop downward to form a wide swath.
1. Pull rear baffle adjustment lever (A) in the outboard
direction to disengage tab from adjustment plate (B).
2. Position rear baffle adjustment lever (A) as follows:
a. To raise baffle, move lever forward.
b. To lower baffle, move lever backward.
3. Release rear baffle adjustment lever (A) so that tab
engages hole in adjustment plate (B).
3.15.11 Cutterbar Deflectors
Cutterbar deflectors attach to the cutterbar just below the conditioner rolls and provide improved feeding into the
conditioner rollers by preventing crop from feeding under the rolls when cutting heavy crops with long stems.
Cutterbar deflectors may not be well-suited for all environments, such as sandy conditions, and are easily removed
or installed in the field.
Removing Cutterbar Deflectors
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, stop engine, remove
key, and engage header lift cylinder lock-out valves before going under machine for any reason.
