The flat areas of the shift drum locating unit are not symmetric.
Relieve tension from the locking lever.

Mount and tighten screw

Slide shift shaft with the washer into the bearing seat.

Push sliding plate away from the shift drum locating unit and insert the shift
shaft all the way.

Let the sliding plate engage in the shift drum locating unit
Shift through the transmission.

Slide on starter idler gear
-
Position the washer and mount the lock ring.
-
Position the washer.
-
Mount the torque limiter.
-
Mount and tighten screw
