Physical Specifications
Each R2 card has two E1 links. The R2 card occupies one DSU slot. The R2 card can be
installed with the power on and is hot-swappable.
The physical connections to and from the R2 card are made at the rear of the cabinet. These
connections include:
•
two E1 interfaces (RJ-45 or coaxial connectors) for network connection
•
an RS-232 port (DB9 connector) for administration and debugging
•
an Ethernet port (RJ-45 connector) for in-house development and troubleshooting.
