Classes

Power Budget

Powered devices are grouped into the seven classes listed in Table 7. The
classes are based on the amount of power the devices require. The switch
supports all seven classes.

The power budget is the maximum amount of power the switch can supply
to the powered devices on its ports. The higher the budget, the more PoE
devices the switch can support at one time.
The power budget of the switch depends on several factors. The first is the
power supply model. The power budgets of the power supplies are listed
in Table 8.
