Applications Step

You can select applications for prioritization or blocking (See
The Prioritize Network Traffic Wizard defines an application as a collection
of classifier rules, each of which specifies one method of identifying
traffic belonging to that application. These classifier rules specify the
values that certain fields with a packet must have in order for that packet
to be considered as belonging to the application.
Figure 347 Prioritize Network Traffic Wizard - Applications
When a device is configured with the classifier rules for a particular
application only one of the rules needs to match a packet in order for the
packet to be identified as belonging to that application.
Prioritized Applications — when you select an application for
prioritization, traffic identified as belonging to that application is
treated as more important than non-prioritized traffic by the
configured devices. This means that the traffic will flow through the
network faster and with less chance of being dropped.
