Specifying Monitoring Mode and Poll Rates at the Device Level

You can only change the monitoring type and poll rate settings for a
device if you are not using automatic monitoring mode for the whole
map.If you are not using the automatic monitoring mode and wish to
change these settings for a particular device, open the Monitoring tab of
the device's Properties dialog box:

By default all devices will inherit their settings either from their subnet or,
if the device is in multiple subnets, from the Tools > Options dialog box.In
order to change the monitoring mode and poll rates for a device you will
need to uncheck the Use defaults from subnet: <subnet name>
checkbox, after which you can set the monitoring mode and poll rate for
the device.
If you launch the Properties dialog box against multiple selected devices
on the map, each control on the Monitoring tab behaves as follows:
If the selected devices all share the same value, the shared value will
be shown
If the selected devices do not all share the same value, the control will
show a mixed value. How this is done depends on the particular
