Supported Features
by Device Family
The following section provides useful details related to the Bulk
Configuration feature of 3Com Network Director.
For information on the devices supported by the Bulk Configuration
feature, see
"Bulk Configuration"
The Bulk Configuration feature determines which of the devices in a
selection are supported. A bulk configuration operation can only be
performed on supported devices. For devices that are not supported, the
Selection Editor dialog box provides the reason as follows:
Agent Update — the device and all of its units or modules are
supported, but one or more of the units or modules requires a more
recent software version. See
instructions on how to update the agent software on the device.
Not Supported — one or more units in the device are not supported.
Please ensure that the latest service pack available has been
downloaded and installed, using Live Update. See
page 811
for more information.
If the service pack release notes identify the device as being supported
but the device is still shown as unsupported in the Selection Editor dialog
box, then the current map may be out-of-date. 3Com recommend that a
fresh discovery is run on the network.
The Bulk Configuration operation supports configuration of the features
summarized below for each device family.
