Folding strategies and settings
Due to differences between fabrics, the measurements of the length of the folds may not correspond exactly
with the values set out in this section.
The table below provides a number of suggestions for setting the desired folding measurements more precisely.
PROBLEM
The first fold is too short
The final fold is too short
The first fold protrudes more than the rest
The first fold is too long
The final fold protrudes more than the rest
The final fold is too long
The final fold is getting caught in the folder
when being extracted
All the folds are getting caught in the folder
when being extracted.
The folder fails to fold certain items,
especially in items with a length not
exceeding 60 cm (23 in.).
Models with three feeding lanes:

Note that it is essential to clean the photocell and the reflector to ensure that the folding system works
properly.
Operating and use. Inteli Control
Use Advanced Manual mode and select a lower number of
folds.
Use Advanced Manual mode and select a greater number of
folds.
Decrease the overall length of the programmed item slightly
(1 or 2 cm, ½ or 1 in.).
If this mismatch appears constantly, request a decrease in
the "FIRST FOLD SET BACK" value. (One of the settings in
SETUP. This action is reserved for the ATS or the CTS.)
Increase the overall length of the programmed item slightly (1
or 2 cm, ½ or 1 inch).
If this mismatch appears constantly, request an increase in
the "FIRST FOLD SET BACK" value. (One of the settings in
SETUP. This action is reserved for the ATS or the CTS.)
Use Advanced Manual mode and select a greater number of
folds.
Increase the empty spaces when items are inserted.
There should never be two items between the photocell at the
input to the roll and the one at the input to the folder.
Alignment difference between the three photocells at the
folder input.
Ask the ATS or the CTS to check the alignment of the
photocells.
