Tailgate and Body Maintenance

Tailgate Locking Mechanism (single tailgate)

It is important to lubricate the tailgate hinges and the locking mechanism with
multipurpose grease as per the lubricating schedule
Also, inspect the welding around hinges. The proper working order of the following
components is also to be checked:

Tailgate hydraulic cylinders

Cylinder pins and circlips

Tailgate hinges and pins

Wear on the locking mechanism

Wear on the tailgate lock pins

Tailgate rubber seals
