Monthly Visual Inspection
1.5.1
Visual Inspection on the Loading Bucket
1. Perform the visual inspection procedure preparation, see
2. Bring the bucket up and down and look for any irregularity in the movement. If so,
any of the following parts may need replacement.
FIGURE 1-14. Bucket moving parts
Four rollers; two on the rear, two on the front inside the rails, have to be rolling
•
properly. If the movement is not regular, see
One sliding shoe; which is a teflon pad in the middle, between the loading bucket
•
and the body. Check if the pad is worn out; you must replace it before it's completely
worn out. If anywhere on the pads, thickness reaches 1/4 in. or less, see
1.6.4 on page
Two rails; look for dirt or any small object that could cause premature wear. There
•
should not be grease in the rails, such coating will help glass, grit and other deposits
stick inside and cause premature use of the rollers. Clean with pressure steam or
solvent.
