Replacing the Maximizer Cylinder
If you detect potential problems with the cylinder you might have to remove the cylinder
for replacement. If you have to remove the Maximizer for replacement you must remove
the cylinder.

Removing the Cylinder Guard

To be able to remove the cylinder, the guard must be removed first.

HIS PROCEDURE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF TWO PERSONS
To remove the cylinder guard:
1. Ensure that the parking brake is applied and the vehicle is tagged out for
maintenance purposes. Refer to
2. Open the tailgate and set the tailgate safety prop.
3. Move the Maximizer towards the cab full stroke.
4. Move the separator close to the cab to clear the cylinder gard.
5. Use a zip cutter to cut through the guard tacks lined along the cylinder.
