1.8.1

General Maintenance

The following are guidelines to keep the hydraulic system efficient and reliable.
To perform a general inspection of the hydraulic system:
1. For new vehicle, change the return filter element after 50 hours of use, and twice a
year afterwards
2. Hydraulic oil must be replaced at least once a year or when contaminated

3. When maintenance is carried out, protect all hoses, fittings and pipes or any other
holes from dirt that would eventually get into the oil. Use plugs to block hoses that are
not connected.
4. Monthly inspect and adjust (if necessary) the oil pressure of the hydraulic system
(section 1.9 on page
5. On a daily basis, inspect the hydraulic lines and connections for leaks, and correct if
necessary.
6. Inspect the pump for leaks or unusual noise.
7. The ball or gate valve on the hydraulic tank must be completely open before engaging
the pump or starting the engine

Hydraulic Cylinder Inspection

To maintain proper working order and extend cylinder life, it is essential to inspect the
hydraulic cylinders at least once a month. Make sure that connections between all hoses
and pipes are tightened, and there are no oil leaks.
