Transport entity protection for the case where the transport entity is a
subnetwork connection. The serial compound link connection within
the subnetwork connection is protected by adding bridges and selectors
in the connection functions at the edges of the protected domain and an
additional serial compound link connection between these connection
functions.
Time is divided into periodical frames. Each frame is divided into
multiple timeslots. Each timeslot is a communication channel which
can be assigned to a user.
